The days are long, the weeks are short, and the months are even shorter. We’ve had a lot going on over the last few months.
We started the year off with some time at the dentist for cleanings… always fun and it always takes all day.
A few weeks ago we had our very first hospital admission. Spencer had woken up in the middle of the night with intense back pain and vomiting. We’ve seen this before with him a few times over the last four years and it usually resolves by the next morning and since he had no symptoms by the time we got him to the doctor, they could never find anything wrong with him. This time the pain and vomiting did not stop. He and I spent the day in the ER while the doctors tried to figure out what was going on. We were eventually admitted to the children’s hospital for observation. All of his symptoms spontaneously disappeared by the next morning and we are currently working with his doctors to get to the bottom of what is going on with my baby. While it’s never any fun to see your children in pain, I am grateful we were finally able to have it documented with the medical community and can begin to get to find out what is causing these episodes. They aren’t very frequent (maybe three or four times a year, if that) but they are intense and scary.
We spent a lot of time inside hanging out, doing school, playing music, etc.
I upgraded my camera to a full frame and now Lucy is learning photography. With any luck I’ll have pictures of myself every once in a while.
I played around with some macro photography. It’s arguably the best reason to have flowers in the house.
Went grocery shopping.
Tried to help a little insomniac relax.
Spent some time at the orthodontist.
Started potty training.
And we have spent the last few days enjoying the early fruits of spring as much as we can!
Alice so wants in on the action!
