Restoring Courage

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

You already know that I am striving to be more courageous. This is not a post I want to write. Believe it or not, I’m not one for confrontation. But I can no longer be silent.

Once upon a time, there was a man named Alexander the Great.  He wanted to rule the world.  He failed.  The End.

Once upon a time, there was a man named Julius Caesar.  He wanted to rule the world.  He failed.  The End.

Once upon a time, there was a man named Vladimir Lenin.  He wanted to rule the world…

Once upon a time there was a man named Joseph Stalin…Adolf Hitler… Bentito Mussolini… Mao Tse-Tung… Kim Jong il…

I find it interesting that with all of these and more examples of insane people who wanted (or still currently want) to rule the world, the every day person still presumes that no one currently has that perverted lust for power.

If you think back to your high school text books, you will also recall that in 1935, Hitler was increasing his “Peace Time” army and had begun building a navy. By this time, Hitler’s war on the Jews was well on it’s way and the Germans let it happen thanks to Goebbels and his anti-semetic propaganda.  They let it happen because they didn’t know what was happening.  The Germans had become so engrossed in their own personal lives and entertainment that by the time they woke up to the depravity that had long since unfolded around them, they had no power left.  They had allowed their hands to be tied by the flaxen cord of obliviousness and denial.

First they came for the Jews.

Hitler’s book “Mein Kampf” was published in 1925.  Ten years later all Jews were stripped of their rights by the passing of the Nuremberg Race Laws.  They were stripped of their rights not just as citizens of Germany, but as humans.  And by default, all citzens of Germany were under scrutiny, essentially requiring their lineage to be traced and then given a “blood status” (Harry Potter fans should see the parallels about now).

By 1933 “Mein Kampf” had outsold the Bible.

And the U.S. looked the other way.

In 1936 the Gestapo were officially no longer required to abide by German Law (here is an interesting article you should read by the way.  Oh, and this one too).  The U.S. looked the other way.

By 1938, the Nazi’s were on a move to conquer the world, starting with the “union” with Austria.  The U.S. looked the other way.

In 1939 the U.S. turned away the St. Louis, a German ship full of nearly 1000 German-Jewish refugees. We sent them back to Europe to face their destruction.

In 1941 a Pro-Axis regime is set up in Iraq. The U.S. looked the other way.

In 1941 Pearl Harbor was attacked.  The U.S. declares war on Japan.  Hitler declares war on U.S.

This is what the Nazi Empire looked like by the time we decided to take a stand.

By the end of World War II 6 million jews had been exterminated.  That is 67% off all European Jews.

And the world said “Never again!”

Never again.

Here is a little more history for you.  In 1935 the country of Persia officially changed it’s name to Iran.  The word “Iran” is persian word for “Aryan”.

Now lets fast forward to today.

Egypt has a “peaceful” change from dictatorship to democracy.  Lara Logan can tell you all about the peaceful transfer of power.  She was there.  Being gang raped.  While the crowd watching screamed “Jew! Jew! Jew!”.  It’s a peaceful secular democracy, where a newly elected Governor is protested (and we know how peaceful Egyptian protests are) because he is a Christian.  And the non-violent burning of the Christian churches.  And lets not forget the man who was stripped of his Egyptian citizenship for defending Israel. And lest we think the “Arab Spring” is contained in Egypt, don’t forget how the Pakistani police refused to help a Christian woman when she was gang raped the all night long.

Then we have the spiritual leader of the Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Muslim Brotherhood saying things like this back in 2009:

In 1961, Yusuf al-Qaradawi had been banned from Egypt. In the wake of the revolution, he has been welcomed back with open arms. In his first public speech in 30 years he called, to a crowd of 2 million, for the conquest of Jerusalem.

While the leftist media touts criticisms of the Tea Party movement claiming that they are all “Nazis”, they turn a blind eye to the emergence of an actual New Nazi Party being formed in Egypt and they don’t make a peep when the Egyptian children are being subjected to propaganda like this:

The world said “Never Again!”

An Egyptian Cleric says that poverty can be solved by selling non-believer slaves (slaves created by bringing back the infidels by the countries they have conquered) like groceries.

THESE are the people who are in power over there! We don’t have to believe anything that these extremists believe. But we do have to believe that THEY believe it and act accordingly.

Everyone has blood on their hands.  Each of the major religions in the world have used the name of God to justify murder and attempted genocide. And I no more believe that all Muslims are evil than I believe that all German citizens or soldiers were evil. Nor do I believe that all Christians and Jews or Americans are good. So please don’t think that I am being racist or bigoted. I am being aware.

Where is everyone? Why is the media silent? Why don’t we know about this? That is not a question I can answer, the only thing I can think of is that the mainstream media knows that if American really knew what was going on we wouldn’t stand for it and they can’t let us get in the way of their agenda for “social justice”.

All you have to do is turn on the news and you know exactly where our president and the media stands. You hear all about the the hateful Israeli’s attacking the Palestinian refugees. They talk about the “peaceful” protests by the Palestinians (that aren’t really peaceful at all) but mention nothing about the slaughter of a Jewish family who dared settle in the Gaza and the subsequent celebrations of said slaughter by the Palestinians.

Then there is this. About two minutes in you see the cartoons showing the “oppressive Israelis”. This is the the biggest load of propaganda I have ever seen. Israel is the size of New Jersey. It is a tiny island of true democracy in a vast sea of oppression and tyranny. They have been enslaved, attacked and driven out of every country (including ours) since history began.

Before Israel became a sovereign state, the “Palistinians” were called Syrians. On May 14, 1948 the UN officially declared that a small dry strip of land with no oil would be set aside for an officially Israeli Nation. They also game some land to the “Palestinians” who were actually Syrains. The very next day Israel was attacked in what is known as the Arab Israeli War and it lasted for more than six months. Israel was invaded by at least six arab armies coming from all sides. Israel defended itself and in the process, took control of some of the area that was for the Palestinians. Who took the rest? Egypt (Gaza) and Trans-Jordan which is now called Jordan (West Bank). The army of Jordan invaded and divided Jerusalem for the first time in it’s history, pushing the Jewish families that had settled there into West Jerusalem and Jordan occupying the east side. The Arab Legion went through East Jerusalem and “ethnically cleansed” out all of the jews, many families of which had been there for centuries. Jerusalem became a minefield and from 1948 until 1967 Jews were banned from East Jerusalem (the side where nearly all of the holy sites are located).

In May of 1967 Egypt forced the UN to withdraw from the Egyptian-Israili border. Removing buffer that had been in between the two countries. Egypt then joined forces with Jordan and Syria and they received support from Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, The Sudan and Algeria in a naval blockade of Israel’s southern port. In June, Israel launched a pre-emptive strike, crippling Egypt’s Air Force. Then Jordan attacked from East Jerusalem and the West Bank. The whole thing was over in six days.

Since Israel became a sovereign state, they have been been attacked over and over again by the surrounding middle eastern countries. They retreated from the Gaza Strip because they were promised peace. They retreated from the West Bank because they were promised peace. Since Israel took control over Jerusalem it has been open to the world. Before that, Jews, Christians and other infidels were banned from the city and slaughtered if they dare enter. Now Jew, Christians and Muslims alike can visit the holy city without fear. They should NOT be expected to withdraw from Jerusalem, their historic, sacred and holy capital city, for the promise of peace. It won’t happen.

The peace won’t happen because Jerusalem isn’t the issue. It has never been the issue. The issue is that they don’t want Israel to exist. At all. They want to drive them into the sea and we are just sitting back and ignoring it.

Back in 2009 what is known as the Gaza War the Israeli army gave unprecedented warnings to the Arab population, providing leaflets and other information about what they were going to do. But the intelligence services called people’s homes and warned them that if they have weaponry in their home they had better get out because the Israeli Air Force was going to destroy that home. Now, seriously, is the army that would call civilians to warn them to get out supposed to be the SAME army that would intentionally harm civilians? Please don’t pretend that Israel is the bad guy.

Here is a great video that shows WHY, tactically, Israel can’t go back to the 1967 lines

In 165 BC, Antiochus Epiphanes blamed the Jews for his problems. He took over the Temple and sacrificed a pig on the alter. Then he outlawed the Sabbath. Then he outlawed circumcision.

This November, San Francisco will vote whether or not to ban circumcision. Now the issue here is very important to understand clearly. Circumcision is a custom that is well established in this culture for religious and/or health reasons. But for the Jews, circumcision is more than that. It is a symbol of the Covenant. The solemn promise made between Abraham and Abraham’s seed and God. This isn’t just something they do. It MEANS something sacred.

Saying that circumcision isn’t necessary to a Jew is like saying to a homosexual that being gay is a lifestyle choice. It won’t go over well. I realize that is an insensitive comparison, but I’m trying to explain the depth of the commitment.

First they came for the Jews.

We promised NEVER AGAIN. Yet we are letting it happen right under our noses.

America! Please turn OFF Gray’s Anatomy and wake up! Look at what is happening and take a stand. Publicly!

Not to speak is to speak, not to stand is to stand.

Silence in the face of evil is evil itself.

See evil for what it is and call evil by it’s name.

Israel has a right to defend itself! They have a right to say “STOP or we’ll shoot!” to the people who are trying to kill them and then they have the right to shoot if they don’t stop! Just because our borders aren’t secure doesn’t mean Israel’s border shouldn’t be.

WWII was my grandparent’s war. Now it is mine.

I am taking a stand. And I stand with Israel.

You did a GREAT job on this! I grew up with parents who continually reminded me that the Holocaust was real and that there was a real danger of history repeating itself. Kudos to you for the time and effort it took to do this…let’s hope it goes viral…and that the defense of Israel does too.
(got it from a link on your sister’s fb)
