Really interesting videos. So now what? What can we as individuals do? How might this debt affect us? Do other countries have this problem? I am still learning, and I am a few years behind you.

We can do a few things (I suggest in this order)
    1. Be informed. I realize that the news isn’t a happy thing, but “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing”. We have to know what is going on. And get it from legitimate sources. Nearly all main stream media (abc, cbs, nbc, msnbc, cnn) are all worshiping the administration and don’t give you a true understanding of what is really going on. I recommend GBTV.com and theblaze.com. That is where I get most of my news. I know a lot of people don’t like those news sources, but I follow the “by their fruits ye shall know them” way of thinking. If the people on or behind a network or show are awful people and are always shouting accusations or cutting people off or otherwise bothering you, then don’t listen to them. That is why I can’t stand msnbc, their questions are accusatory and leading, they are always cutting people off and their monologues are hateful.

    2. Don’t be silent. Far too many people think that they are getting the truth from the main stream media and spout the rhetoric that they hear. Make sure you know your stuff and speak up when you hear falsehoods and be equipped with enough knowledge to set them straight with logic and evidence. You’d be surprised at how much common sense there is in politics. If it doesn’t make sense, it usually isn’t true or right.

    3. Be a pain in the neck to your Representatives and Senators. Call, email, call, email every time there is an issue. It’s not hard. An assistant will usually take my message and pass it along, they may or may not ask for my contact info or name, usually just zip code.
