Millie Fierce

I love getting to review children’s books!  They are so much fun :)

Millie Fierce by Jane Manning is the story about a little girl who is tired of not being noticed (I can relate to that).

She decides that she is going to be FIERCE instead of ordinary (that, I cannot relate to, I may be opinionated, but I am hardly fierce, at least not in person :) ).

It doesn’t work out so well for her…

and she discovers that maybe being nice, though ordinary and maybe a little dull, is far better than being fierce.

This really is a cute little story though  I must admit, I’m glad she realized that being fierce isn’t all it’s cut out to be in the end.  That would have made for a very sad story and bitter old woman!

This is a picture book that is perfect for pre-schoolers (and their older sisters who read to them).  The illustrations are bright and Millie’s expressions are priceless.

Jane Manning is the author and illustrator of Millie Fierce which was just released yesterday. She is also the illustrator of a few of our family favorites such as Cindy Ellen and Baa-Choo!

{Disclaimer: I received this book for my family for free.  I received no other compensation for this review and all opinions are my own.}

    Hi Courtney,

    Thanks so much for reviewing my book, “Millie Fierce”.
    It’s great to see the photos of it on your blog, especially in the hands of a child (I’m assuming that’s your daughter). That’s where it belongs!
    I hope you enjoyed it!

    take care, Jane
