Spring has sprung in New Jersey! One day we were huddled up in our fleece blankets, the next we were turning on the AC. Yesterday we enjoyed a family run/bike ride. Today we decided to go outside and play in the yard.
We have a front yard, not a back yard. It’s awesome in the winter because it has the perfect hill for sledding. In the spring it’s kind of annoying because I can’t just send the kids outside to play, I have to be out there with them. That’s good because I get to outside and relax, read and soak up the sunshine. It’s not so good because sometimes a mom just needs to be able to send her kids out so she can do dishes without someone tugging on her skirt (not to mention that we can’t have a trampoline or swingset :( ) We are making the best of it, though.
I spread out a sheet on the grass and played with Henry while the other kids ran around.
Jack-Jack sure loves his baby brother!
The kids wasted no time in playing on the wood pile (courtesy of Hurricane Sandy).
Emma explored and hammed it up for the camera
Spencer ran and kicked the volleyball around (yes, that’s right… volleyball).
Jack hung out with Lucy
We were having such a good time.
Then Jack discovered something called bugs.
