When You Give a Kid a Camera…

They take pictures like this…

And they take pictures of Jack’s new friend (aka, random kid playing at the park)

And the random friend’s mother

You get a few good action shots

And even a few that are print-worthy (but only after you fix the autofocus, huzzah!)

You may get a picture or two of you and your cute baby (btw, I have never been more consistently happy with pictures of me since I saw this video… now if only he could do one that helps me get rid of the crinkly nose).

Obviously not ALL of my pics turn out great…

When you give a kid a camera you also get pictures of your gorgeous friend Gemma with the head cut off.

And you get a few without her head cut off.

And your conversations…

Then you wrestle the camera away from the five year old, delete the 120 pictures of dirt and grass, and hand the camera to someone with a little more experience

The previous photographers run off to play “Mr. Wolf, what time is it?”

“It’s 22 O’Clock!”

When you upoad the pictures on to your computer you find 314 pictures of an empty bench and random shoes; and a million pictures of the resident baby because he is “SOOOO cute!”

Even when he eats grass

Maybe especially when he eats grass

When you spend the day playing with friends, and visiting the library, and going to the pool you come home to this:

It takes a week to recover from one day of partying.

Those are pretty good pics for a 5 year old ; ) Love the conversation bubbles lol Our summer vacation hasn’t started yet- we head for prague over the 4th. Ethan will be staying home with us full time next year though (German’s don’t like us taking so many holidays) so I’m trying to gear up and do some practice runs on our schedule…and am ready to send both boys to public school ;) Of course I won’t, but It’s my best threat yet…

    Love it!
I was just going through a couple of hundred pictures on my kid’s camera, also mostly blurry pictures of the ground, and a few of someone’s nostrils.
