I wanted to take some Elena Blair inspired back to school pictures of the kids. As it turned out my “brilliant” plan in the room that had “the best” light in the house ended up giving me very hard light and not at all what I was going for.
After a bit of tweaking in Lightroom and Photoshop I was able to save them. I’m going to try again against the opposite wall with softer light. But in the mean time I thought I’d share the pics that didn’t make the cut (cause my kids are still pretty cute).
For those of you who are wondering, I used three thumb tacks to put some black fabric on the wall above the bed in the room we were using. Then I photoshopped out any wrinkles :)
This is a pull back of what the everything looked like outside of the “staged” area. My oldest and my youngest… best friends :)
And this is a pic I took the day before against the wall I’m going to try tomorrow. You can see how the lighting is much more even… I’m just worried about it being flat. I hope I’m not boring you with all of my pictures and ponderings…
