We have had record low temperatures over this last week. Nothing to Maine winters, but certainly enough to disrupt the heating systems of the base and in town.
As a result, Matt had a few days off of work. So during school yesterday, he busted out the microscope (I got it used for the kids for Christmas) and we all looked at onion cells and human hair. The kiddos thought it was great!
Lucy looked on with her usual reserve and unimpressed air (but I could tell she thought it was cool).
Emma said things like “That’s amazing!”
Spencer followed with “Dat’s amazing” while keeping both eyes open and not actually being able to see anything.
Today we took a deeper look at cells and the girls made posters. I’ll try to remember to take pictures laster… but no promises 🙂
