Spencer turned four weeks old today. And he smiled at me twice! I kid you not. And it wasn’t one of those sleepy smiles either. He looked me straight in the eye, I smiled at him and he smiled back at me. He did it TWICE! Then he refused to make any eye contact with Matt or I for the rest of the day.
He was also nice all day today and seems to be sleeping much better the last few nights. No shrieking for hours. Maybe it was his birthday present to me and he’ll be back to his normal cranky self tomorrow 🙂

I’m sore after yesterday. I feel like I haven’t exercised in months! Oh wait, I haven’t. Today I lifted weights and did some core work. More cardio tomorrow. I’m going to be skinny again I swear. I’ve got 35 pounds to go before I’m back to my pre Spencer state… 45 to be back to my pre Emma state (but I’m not holding my breath).
I had Matt cut my hair tonight. It’s about an inch shorter than I wanted it, but it still looks good from what I can tell with wet hair. I’ll have a better idea tomorrow after I style it.
I put the girls in separate rooms today. This weekend we’ll transfer Emma’s stuff over to the smaller room. I’m sick of the yelling at night and frankly, I think they could use a break from each other. They are in each other’s face 24/7, no wonder they act up at night when they are put in a room together.
