included cleaning absolutely nothing. I told Matt last night that I wanted to spend the day cleaning the house and hopefully getting rid of some funky smells in the process. I asked him to read to me while I cleaned so I could stay motivated.
First we got sitters and went grocery shopping by ourselves. It was actually quite fun 🙂 Then we all took a nap. I woke up with Spencer a couple hours later and since Matt wasn’t up yet, and I couldn’t clean if he wasn’t reading to me, I worked some more on my kit. Then the sun made it’s first appearance in over a week, so we had to take advantage of it. We piled into the car and went on a short hike that ended up at a gravel beach. Spencer ate rocks and sand, I took pictures (to be posted tomorrow), Lucy and Emma hunted for shells and Matt tried to throw little rocks at bigger rocks. All and all, a fun afternoon. And since we weren’t home, I didn’t even think of the black hole that was waiting for us when we got home.
Matt read to me while I made dinner, then he called his parents and sat down to watch some of the Olympics. The most I did was put the mayo back in the fridge after dinner. But considering my track record of putting food away, that’s pretty darn good 🙂
