Nancy left last night. She and Matt left around 9pm and they were going to sleep in the car so that she could catch her early AM flight. I was very worried about a night on my own since I am seriously sleep deprived. But a miracle happened last night. All three children slept well and slept long. Spencer only woke two or three times to eat, and since he sleeps in a box next to my bed, I didn’t even have to get up. I just plucked him out of his box, plugged him in and went back to sleep. I didn’t have to get up until 8:30 this morning. I can’t tell you how much I needed a good nights sleep. Then Spencer peed all over my bed this morning when I changed his diaper. So my sheets are getting washed as we speak.
Oh it was so great having Nancy here. She made life so much easier for me when I really needed it. My dishes and laundry (except for the urine soaked bed sheets) are all done, the kids rooms are clean and we had dinner every night. And it was so great having her here to give the girls some much needed attention. We also made jam. This morning Lucy told me that she missed Grandma Wilson (Emma calls her “Granma Oson”).
I have something else to report. Matt bought me a new set of pots and pans. They came yesterday and are just beautiful. Full clad stainless steel. A 10 and an 8 inch pan, a 12 inch sauce pan, 1 qt, 2 qt, 3 qt and an 8 qt pot with noodle strainer, all with lids. It also came with matching measuring cups and 4 piece utensil package. They are the Member’s Mark brand from Sams Club (consumer reports rated them very well). They were discontinued and samsclub.com were auctioning off the last of their inventory. We had been eyeing them for a long time and it was now or never.
