The Crossing

We watched The Crossing last night.
It’s funny how a good movie or book because you are on the edge of your seat even though you know exactly what happens.
Jeff Daniels does a great job and it’s funny how much he actually looks like Washington.  Casting was pretty great in general.
The only complaint I have is that they speak in 2oth century English rather than 18th century English.  While it makes it easier to understand, it isn’t as beautiful to listen to.
I must warn you though, that it doesn’t EXACTLY follow the true account.  It’s pretty close, in actuality, the mission of the Battle of Trenton and the events leading up to it make the whole thing even MORE amazing.  So I don’t know why they left that stuff out, but I’m not a director.
