Yesterday

It started by all five of us rushing out the door by 7:30 so I could make my 8:00 ultrasound apt. followed by my 9:00 prenatal apt.  I had just sat down in the waiting room when they called us in.  Finding out the sex of the baby is so exciting that even though we had SO much work to do at home, there was no way I was going to leave Matt out of it.

Our first glimpse was of Speck yawning a HUGE yawn.  SO cute!  Everything is perfect and within the first two minutes we had definitely identified the “outdoor plumbing” of our little boy.  Emma was excited when she was able to see the feet that looked like feet and and hands that looked like hands.  She squealed every time he covered his face with his hands or sucked his thumb.  We also were able to get a couple 3D shots of his face, one of them turned out really well and he looks just like the rest of our babies.  Speck was awake the whole time and I felt every jump and turn.  It was really neat to see and feel at the same time.

We finished up and then I had my prenatal apt.  Then we all went grocery shopping.  We did surprisingly well (food wise) considering we were all hungry.

When we got home we had lunch and then all took a nap.  Like I said, I know we have a lot of work to do, and it all has to be done by Thursday night, but we were all sleep deprived and grumpy by this time.  

When we woke up, Matt started on the baseboard molding in the attic and doors to the eves while I finished sanding and painting the ceiling and walls of the attic stair well.  I was painting and spraying texture and standing on a really high ladder.  Basically everything I shouldn’t do while pregnant.  Oh well, it can’t be helped.

I’m still painting and spraying though most of the ladder work is done with.  Don’t be surprised if I don’t answer the phone for the rest of the week.  If I’m not taking a nap, I’ve left the phone somewhere I can’t hear it ring.
